Specialised Transport Ltd was established over 25 years ago, originally starting as a small subcontracting transport provider. Today, it has grown into a successful operation with a fleet of over 40 trucks and trailer units.

 

Andrew Porter - General Manager

In 2011, Andrew took over Specialised Transport Ltd, stepping into ownership and the role of General Manager. With a background in business management and mechanical qualifications, along with experience from his time at Porter Group, Andrew brought both practical expertise and strong leadership to the company. His mechanical knowledge spans all aspects of vehicles, from trucks to heavy earthmoving machinery, giving him a hands-on understanding of the fleet he manages.

Thomas Paul - Operations & Dispatch Manager

 

Thomas joined Specialised Transport Ltd in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge and a strong background in fleet operations and logistics. As Fleet/Dispatch Manager, he oversees the day-to-day scheduling, vehicle allocation, and driver support to ensure STL’s fleet runs efficiently and on time. Thomas is committed to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction, working closely with both drivers and clients to deliver seamless transport solutions. His leadership and attention to detail play a key role in keeping STL’s growing fleet moving smoothly

Brent Mansel - Project Manager & Driver Trainer

Brent has dedicated his entire career to the trucking industry. Before joining STL in 2009, he spent more than a decade as a machine operator and loader driver with Warren Fowler Earthmovers, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Starting at STL as a full-time truck and trailer operator, Brent quickly became an integral part of the team and has since played a key role in driving the company’s growth and success.
